Information Communication Technology (ICT) and their applications has become the main module for the development of our country in this modern world. ICT plays an important role in obtaining information and receive a variety of services at anytime and from any location.
Internet services were first launched in 1999 coinciding with the Silver Jubilee celebration of his majesty the fourth Druk Gyalpo with an aim to achieve National Goals of Gross National Happiness. Now after seven years after it has been first launched, IT services have spread to all 20 Dzongkhags and soon it will find its way deeper into geog level.
ICT has also become one of the main tools to promote accountability, efficiency and transparency to Bhutan. Besides this the other objective of introducing ICT to the Dzongkhag is to share related information with other Dzongkhags.
The Dzongkhag Administration, Bumthang has taken immense pleasure to launch its independent website, so that browsers can have easy access to relevant information and much needed data regarding Dzongkhag activities and statistics.
The availability of tender documents and online forms in the website will make it much easier job for the clients and browsers. With just one click of the mouse the information regarding Dzongkhag will be available.
