Thodrak Goenpa

In Bumthang there are four most significant Draks (Huge Rock which are now monasteries). One of them is Thodrak Goenpa in Tang Geog. It is the farthest of the four Draks. Today 22 monks reside at Thodrak Goenpa. It is headed by Thodrak Lam Pem Sherab Dorji.

Kuenzangdrak Goenpa

Kuenzangdrak Goenpa is one of the four draks in Tang Geog. It is the main residence of Pema Lingpa

Zhugdrak Goenpa

Zhugdrak Goenpa is in Chhoekhor Geog. It was one of the residing place of Guru Rinpoche

Chedrak Goenpa

Chedrak Goenpa is in Chummey Geog. It is also one of the four draks in Bumthang

Tharpaling Goenpa

Tharpaling Goenpa is in Chummey Geog. It was the residence of Kuenkhen Longchen. It is said that there are eight lings and that Tharpaling Goenpa is the main one.

Kurjey Lhakhang

Kurjey Lhakhang is one the most popular monasteries in Bhutan. Each and everyone in Bhutan is aware and familiar with the importance Kurjey drupchu(holy water) available fom Kurjey Lhakhang.

It is also place where Guru Rinpoche subdued demon.

Jampa Lhakhang

It is also one of the most sacred monasteries in Bhutan. It is the residence of Jowo Jampa and also the place which is famous for tourists.
