Jakar Tshechu is held on the 7-11th day of the 9th Bhutanese Month. It is held for five days. Different mask dances are performed by the monks of Jakar Dzong. Schools and Offices of whole Bumthang Dzongkhag remain closed for three days during this tshechu. People from all four gewogs come to receive blessings and to watch the dances performed by the monks.
