First Nomadic Festival |

The first ever Nomadic Festival was held at Wangchuck Centennial Park, Nangsiphel, Bumthang for three days from 26th-28th December, 2009. Nomads from all over Bhutan-Laya, Lingshi, Merak-Sakteng, Bumthang etc gathered together participate in the festival.
Honorable Lyonpo Dr Pema Gyamtsho, Minister of Agriculture graced the opening of the Nomadic festival. Some members of Parliament, Dasho Dzongdag, Dzongkhag Officials, Officials of MoA, International guests and tourists also attended the Festival.
The Festival had different stalls which displayed the Nomadic products and food items and there were also lots of local games, cultural activities and quizzes. There were also yak and dog show to which the best ones were awarded prizes.
